This is a child modeling photo sample from a recent session.  Many parents get their child started in acting and modeling at a young age and child modeling is often the perfect way to start.  For one, child modeling is easier then acting.  They don't have to say lines, they don't have to act, you just need the right look to be a kid model.

Here are a few photos from a recent teenage actress and model headshot session.   Actors always have different looks for headshots.  Teenage actresses might play the girl next door, the quirky teen, the cheerleader, the goth girl, the edgy teen, hip & cool, etc.  There are so many different types of actors and your headshots should hint at this.  No costumes are needed and that would be a bit hokey for headshots but hinting at a type is recommended.  Once you define your type and types that you would play then this can be reflected in your headshots.  I will cover this in greater detail in later post.  In the meantime here is an example of this young actress recent headshots showing different types.
