Does a dancer need a headshot?  Yes, they do if they are acting, modeling, or auditioning for dance roles.  There are tons of T.V. shows that kids and teens might audition for.  Just take a look at all of these T.V. dance shows.  Every dancer on every one of these shows would have turned in a headshot.

And many commercials seek out child dancers.  For example Target, Apple, Levi's and a host of advertisers often have hip-hop dancers doing their moves in a commercial.  Check out what this Dance Magazine has to say about it.
