A huge congratulations to my adorable client Kristi Beckett who is one of the new stars on the brand new Nickelodeon series "I Am Frankie".

I Am Frankie is of the story of Teen Experimental Android "Frankie" who has to keep her identity a secret. Kristy Beckett plays "Makayla" who is known as a mean girl, but always sticks by her friends. Below is one of the headshots from our recent photosession.

Oliver J. Alvarez just booked the Nickelodeon show "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn" and he also booked a commercial for Direct TV! He mentioned he had a blast working with the crew on NRDD and had so many nice things to say about everyone on set! Watch for him in an upcoming episode.

A big congratulations to adorable Tate Wiblin who just booked a 3 day shoot for a "Publix" holiday campaign! I look forward to seeing this cutie on screen...so much personality and so much fun to work with. It's always a pleasure to work with vibrant kids that can also take direction well and are so professional.

Jasmine Kali Alvarez

And watch for Jasmine Kali Alvarez next month in a huge commercial spot which she just booked. Can't give any details because it is confidential until it airs. These days there are more and more casting directors and producers having you sign "non-disclosures" at auditions and with bookings. They don't want info leaked about the spot. And this is also happening on TV shows because they don't want spoilers about the show. So hush, hush on this project, but it should air in September and then we can let the word out. In any case...congratulations to Jasmine!

look who's booking! Commercials and TV roles!

It's always a joy to hear good news and in the business of acting a booking is GREAT NEWS! If you're children are actors then that means they go to a lot of auditions. If they are a model they go to a lot of "go see's". It's part of the job of a child model or child actor or any actor for that matter to go on interviews or auditions very regularly.

Getting an audition is a win. And getting the callback is a bigger win. But when you book the job you may just hear a "WHOOHOO!", across town. That's because not only is the actor thrilled, but your agent, manager and parents are just as thrilled. And they cheer and rave along with you and your child actor.

So here's a big "WHOOHOO" to some of my headshot clients who recently booked a commercial or TV show or performance!

Jonathon booked a national commercial last month for Whirlpool and then this month he booked a commercial for JG Wentworth!

Actor Oliver Alvarez just booked a commercial for Direct TV!

This month my son Oliver booked a job for the feature film "Sinister 2" working at Comic Con as one of the evil twins. And as he was on his way to work at Comic Con, he got the news that he booked a very funny commercial for Direct TV!

Caleb's headshot session was a lot of fun. He did a wonderful job of keeping it simple, but expressing just the right emotion for his different looks. Although he is very handsome he also has a tall, lanky build and can still play an awkward teen...which happens to be a very popular look for commercials these days.

Recently wrapped a headshot session with a beautiful, aspiring teen actress. We did the session, chose the shots she should submit to talent agents and then those images had to be retouched.

Once my re-toucher was done with those I emailed her mom the files. Within two days her mom emailed me back with exciting news--she had was already contacted by two talent agents and both wanted to bring her in for a meeting! Her mother said the agent loved her headshots. And that's how you rock it folks!

HEADSHOT session with a teenage actress

This was from a fantastic headshot session with teen actress Alexa. She has had excellent success from her new acting headshots. Immediately after the headshot session she secured a talent manager and agent and then went on to book her first audition with the first headshot below, for a Dell computer commercial. Shortly after she booked another audition for an Ubisoft campaign with the fourth headshot you can see below. Here's a sample from this lovely teenagers headshot session:

This headshot got her in the door for her very first audition and she booked it! A Dell computer commercial.


Pretty teenager or cheerleader type commercial headshot.

The above headshot look is the "relateable" shot. The everyday, approachable, Modern Family look.

The headshot got the young actress an audition for a fashionable, young teenager role. Once again she booked that job! Typically hats are not used for headshots, but on occasion agents will choose a hat shot to keep as part of the actors online headshot portfolio.
